Another potential part of the health and wellness puzzle could be an incentive program.  Considerable research has shown that there is a higher adherence to corporate health, safety, and wellness programs when companies offer employees an incentive.  When incentives are part of the equation, rates of participation increase dramatically.

These incentives do not have to be financial.  This could be something as simple as rewarding your crew with take-out from their favorite restaurant for each month that they go without time lost due to an injury.  There is plenty of room for creativity.  Again, this is by no means a mandatory component but yet another way to boost morale, motivate employees, and increase participation and buy-in.
